Welcome to
our website!
The Off Road 4x4 Club of NSW was started some years back
for the purpose of giving 4WD enthusiasts a place where they could come
along, learn the skills to get the most out of their 4WD, and meet
new friends. We may be fond of our 4WD’s , but we do share an
Aussie’s love of mateship, the bush, the
outback, the getting away from it all.
The Club is not about building up a bank account or
owning land, but is more about giving back to its members in ways of sharing
experiences; providing training modules in all types of driving and recovery
procedures; offering assistance in vehicle modification and maintenance;
advising on places to visit, how to get there, what to do if you get stuck
and how not to get stuck next time.
We are a family orientated Club that is open to all 4WD
makes and models and we run all types of trips - social outings, day,
weekend and long distance trips. We take part in Funkhanas, Jamborees and
Skills Events as a Club, and for those members who enjoy a bit more
challenge to their driving, there is the opportunity to compete for the Club
in the recognised 4WD competitions that are held throughout the year. We
also run our own 4WD event each year which is sponsored and supported by a
large number of noted 4WD Businesses.
We are extremely conscious of the environment and take
part in track maintenance, bush and beach cleanups, and we also recognise
our responsibility towards the community by assisting in Fundraisers,
benefit days for ‘Camp Quality’ and Christmas Hamper Runs. We are a member
of the 4WD Clubs Association –a group who represent our views to various
Government bodies to ensure we’ll all have somewhere to drive in the future.
