The Presidents Report
Hi Members
Hi Members
It’s been a busy couple of months again.
Thanks to all the members who came along and supported the Club over the 3
days at the Penrith Camping Show. You all did a great job talking to those
who came up to our stand and wanted to find out about the Club. It was a
great weekend full of laughs and camaraderie.
Thanks Sharon and Paul for opening up
your home for us to run our Club maintenance day. I think it turned out
really successful with quite a lot accomplished. Thanks Charlie for helping
me in showing the members how to make the modifications needed. Thanks also
to Keith Cowley for being the “Masterchef” for the day and for all the girls
for getting the food organised. It was a terrific day and was followed up by
a Bowling Night at Mt Druitt Bowling Alley where we all challenged each
other to some real fun. Even the kids got involved in their own competition.
The weekend at Anna Bay was also a great
weekend and Margaret & I were sorry we could only make the Sunday due to
last minute commitments we had prior to our trip to New Zealand. We did
enjoy the sand driving at Stockton on the Sunday and it was good to see you
members getting some driving experience on the sand….you all did really
well.
Our result of 15th out of 24 teams at
Willowglen was our best yet by far and thanks to our team of James & Ryan,
Glen & Andrew, Evan & Dale and myself & Charlie for some great driving.
Thanks to Ann, Julie & Margaret for supporting & cheering us on all weekend;
Tony for getting some great shots and for helping out with James and my cars
over the weekend; Peter for all the help with my CB and compressor and
especially Ernie for his great Managing of the team…....
you didn’t stop all weekend mate.......what a
terrific effort.
Thanks Charlie for taking the gang on the
Rydal trip and giving them some great driving challenges on the tracks up
there, it looks like we missed a good weekend & hope we can all go back
there another time.
Don’t forget the Christmas Party people
at Bundeena and especially the last meeting for the year at TJM Penrith.I
hope you can all come along.
Margaret’s captured all the action in the Magazine so check it out
and I hope you all have a safe and happy
Christmas
So till I see you again, happy
4wdriving people.
Bye from the Pres.
