The Presidents Report

 

Hi Members

 

 

Time has flown and a lot has happened since the last Magazine. Clubkhana was once again full of lots of fun and laughter from the competitors and a big thank you goes out to all the members who assisted with the event this year, you did the Club proud guys. Also thanks to Lyn & Roger and George who came down to help us out on the weekend as well, it was really appreciated guys.

 

The Australian 4x4 Masters competition has been underway and Round 1 and 2 has seen some great driving on some well thought out events. James & I drove the first event in March and we got some good points. I was really happy with how the ‘LJ’ performed and was the first to get through one of the courses at one point. A huge thanks to Dave my navvi who had a blinder on the weekend…..I couldn’t have done it without you mate, you never let up all day. James as usual had the crowd on the edge of their seats when he put himself on his side on one of the courses, and another time had all 4 wheels off the ground at the same time. Both Dave & Rob also showed their driving prowess in one of the events when they had to take over the driving & James & I navigated……...man was I exhausted at the end of the event...sweat was just pouring off me.. Definitely easier in the driver’s seat I think!!!!

 

A huge thank you to Clarrie who has taken over the Manager’s reigns for the Masters and has been a great asset to all of us. His eagerness and dedication is much appreciated by us all.

 

There have been some good trips on the calendar so far this year so check out the  pictures and reports further on in the Magazine. We have some more good ones yet to come, so try and get behind the Trip Leaders and book on to these trips...the more the merrier.

 

The weather is cooling down now but don’t let that stop you from enjoying some good camping time, so hope to see you on the upcoming trips.
