The Presidents Report
Hi Members
As I mentioned in the last magazine,
I had a great time at the Mudgee 4x4 Funkhana. It was a really well run
event at a property outside Mudgee and it was great to catch up with some of
the other Clubs. Check out the write up and photos in the Magazine. It was a
shame the weather in Sydney turned the rest of you members off attending as
the weather over the mountain was terrific and could not have been better. I
was glad I took the punt.
With Winter over we can start
planning some new trips for the warmer months coming up, so put your
thinking caps on members and see Keith about putting some trips on the
calendar. Tony is running a trip up near Mudgee in October to show us some
interesting track and ruins he knows about, so
keep an eye out for the date on the website.
We did have a great relaxing weekend
at Dave’s property at Wiseman’s Ferry. The Club provided the food for the
weekend and thanks to everyone who came along and participated in making it
enjoyable. Dave has put a lot of work into his property and we could really
see a marked difference from our last visit……………………….well done mate it is a
credit to you and thanks for having us all.
Willowglen Challenge is just around
the corner and the team is James with new member Ben in the navigator seat,
Mark and Douglas, new members Noel and Scotty and myself with George as my
navigator. Dave has taken on the role of Manager and I know he will be a
great asset to the team along with the other helpers who are going to assist
him. Don’t forget to try and make the weekend available members to come
along and support the Club and cheer them on. The Club will once again be
providing the morning and evening meals so let us know if you can make it.
Clubkhana is once again around the
corner and some of our Sponsors have already been knocking on our doors to
enquire about next years event, so I hope you will all be able to assist
again. We don’t make a fortune out of the event, but what we make goes back
into the Club to provide the catered weekends etc for all you members.
The Penrith Show is on again on
12—14th September and we will be having a membership drive there so hope
some of you can come out and give us a hand…...the
more the merrier.
